Lagooa belongs to everyone
Why “Lagooa”
We were born in Taquari, in the countryside of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil: a small town where almost everyone knows each other.
In the middle of our town there is a lake, the Lagoa Armênia. That is where families go, where friends meet around a gourd of chimarrão and conversations run long. The lake belongs to no one: it belongs to everyone. And when someone needs something, there is always someone who knows someone who can help.
Our name comes from it. It is our tribute to the town and to this way of looking out for each other.
Why we exist
Looking for work has become talking to the void. You send your résumé to a system, get a reply from a bot, or no reply at all. On the other side, people who need to hire also get lost among filters and screens.
We believe the opposite: work is found between people. People who look at people, talk, understand what the other needs and lend a hand.
Technology is here to bring people closer, not to take anyone’s place. Behind the app there is our team, real people, who follow the jobs, look for talent, talk to companies and help each process reach the end.
Just like our lake, Lagooa belongs to everyone.
